我要吃瓜 me
My research project, which is carried out in collaboration with Historic Environment Scotland, explores what thermal retrofitting means for users of built heritage in Scotland. Using a participatory action research approach and working with residents, communities, organisations, heritage professionals and the building industry, it considers the factors impacting the decision-making of various actors involved in the ecology of retrofit and how these might apply to designated and non-designated built heritage. This CDA project is funded by ARCH/SGSAH. Before starting my PhD, I completed the MSc Heritage programme at the 我要吃瓜 in 2023. My work-related dissertation, undertaken in partnership with Simpson & Brown, examined the potential of retrofitting built heritage for energy efficiency as a conservation practice contributing to its social value. My undergraduate and first postgraduate were in art (BA Hons, Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Ireland, 2013) and art history (MSc in Modern and Contemporary Art History, Criticism and Curating, University of Edinburgh, 2018). Since 2022, I have been working with Simpson & Brown.
