My research interests centre around fish health and welfare, with a specific focus on the intricate dynamics of host-pathogen interactions and the fascinating interplay between hosts and their microbiomes. I tackle these employing cutting-edge multi-omics tools including high throughput amplicon and metagenome sequencing, metatranscriptomics, and metabolomics. Throughout my research journey, I have built extensive expertise in various microbiology, molecular and cell biology tools, with a prominent emphasis on large-scale amplicon sequencing and RNA sequencing, absolute qPCR, cell culture, molecular cloning, and proteomics.
